Breakout Session Topic: Serving Those Who Serve

Kristin Byerly leads a department whose approach is to understand the needs of the military connected student and that it goes beyond academics, offering a comprehensive approach to student success. She is a member of NASPA, an organization for Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education, serves as the NASPA Region II Veterans Knowledge Community Representative and is the Secretary of the Maryland College Collaboration for Student Veterans Commission (MCCSVC). Kristin holds a BS in Management from University of Phoenix and an MBA from UMGC. She is the daughter of a 26-year US Navy veteran, spouse of a 30-year US Navy veteran and parent of a US Naval Officer.
